Apple ID Notes Password

Hi, I’m trying to unlock my notes password. It used to let me unlock it with my face ID first then all of a sudden it’s telling me to use a password but i don’t know my password and i never made one. so how can i reset my notes to go back to unlocking my notes with a face ID?????? please quickly i need help
