Apple TV + Homepod connectivity

I used to be able to control my home pod volume through my apple tv remote whilst watching something on Apple TV and having my 2 home pods connected. However, now I am unable to control my home pod volume at all. ( + and - buttons on the apple tv remote are completely useless now)

How to force Apple TV to be Home Hub instead of HomePods? While trying to share the Home I created under my Apple ID with my wife, she was being blocked from joining my Home. After doing some reading, I realized the issue was one of our 10 HomePods (original ones) was the active Home Hub and only HomePod Mini and Apple TV 4K allow for home sharing. Since I couldn't find anyway to manage this, I unplugged all the HomePods to force the Apple TV 4K to take over. At that point she could join the shared home. I've looked in every nook and cranny of the Home app on both iOS and macOS, but there doesn't seem to be a way to have control over which eligible device is the active Home Hub. There also doesn't seem to be a way to disable Home Hub eligibility at a device configuration level, so I can't tell all my HomePods to just stand down. This is mostly being posted to make Apple aware of what I think is a glaring flaw in the manageability of their Home ecosystem, but if anyone has found a better way to deal with my situation, I'd love to hear about it.

AirPod Pro 2nd generation Why does AirPod Pros 2nd generation connect to LG OLED TV but immediately stop sound? I had 1st generation ones connected successfully and followed all of the suggested tips to connect the 2nd generation ones. Only a quick static sound and then nothing. Clicking on and off resulted in same static sound but did not complete sound connection.

"Home hub not connected" HomeKit error The Home app now persistently states that the home hub is not connected, with the usual issues for automations. This has been an issue for the last 48 hours or so - not connected to any obvious software update. I have three home hubs - Apple TV 4K and two HomePods. I have: followed all of the instructions on Apple's page on troubleshooting this issue rebooted all of them signed out of iCloud and back in again on all of them checked that the software is updated on all of them rebooted my router. And it still doesn't work. All three are listed as "standby" in the Home app (on iPhone and iPad. I've rebooted both of those as well, and checked that the OS is up to date). I have also disabled the AppleTV as a hub, at which point it shows as such in the Home app, but the HomePods don't pick up as the hub even after power-cycling them. Anyone got any ideas how to fix this, as it is more than somewhat annoying? [Topic listed as AppleTV because Apple doesn't have a 'Home' topic. No idea if it is the TV or the HomePods or something else.]
