You can try Target Disk Mode: Transfer files between two Mac computers using target disk mode - Apple Support.
You will also need this cables/adapters:
And this may not work with the failed graphics. Be prepared to return.

One is an old 2008 iMac with failed graphics. The new iMac is brand-new. I need to get the photos off the failed iMac. The owner didn't back up the 2008 iMac, use Time Machine, or use iCloud.
