Library Folder Showing Restricted Access

Hello! I noticed today that a library folder within my documents folder has appeared and is showing restricted access. I don't think it was like that before. It is also showing that there is Zero KB in the file. I don't notice any obvious storage differences, but I feel like things may have been in there before. Is this something I should be concerned about? Thanks for any and all help. I recently updated to Catalina 10.15.7 about a week ago.

There is another library folder under my home directory that shows the library icon imprint that is accessible and does contain files.

Hey there!

Just an experienced guess, do you use Adobe Creative Cloud?

If so, try uninstalling it and see if it goes away. I’ve come across this, to where you can delete the folder, after granting permissions, across any user, but it just comes right back, until Creative Cloud is uninstalled.

If that’s not the case, let me know, otherwise, can you show the file path in that same Get Info window?

Hey again! No worries happy to help out! From what I remember there was another empty folder inside “Library” called “Logs”. Whatever the case, it was syncing via Adobe servers.

I granted myself permissions to the folder, deleted the folder, restarted, comes right back.

Deleted, turned OFF internet completely, restarted (Or log out/in), and it does NOT re-appear. That is until I re-enable Internet, log out/in etc.

When uninstalling Creative Cloud, noticed it disappear immediately also. So if concerned I’d give them a call, but I don’t believe it’s anything nefarious. All the best!
