apple watch face popped off

the face on my apple watch series 3 popped off. No functions are working on the watch. I searched the internet and found similar issues. When I sent my watch in I was told that it was not the battery. I did absolutely nothing to the watch - did not bang it against anything, I do not even take showers with my watch on. I only had the watch 2.5 years.
