Issues with creating a partition

Hey Guys!

Hope your all well :)

I'm trying to create a partition / install windows 10 to my Mac (2015/2016 model, running high sierra).

It's doing the process, but then fails upon completion, I get a dialogue box saying 'error occurred while copying the windows installation files' - I've re-downloaded the windows install but it's happened again & again!

Also the space / memory has been taken from the hard drive & I cannot also seem to remove it through Disk Utility / Partition - It's showing a 'free space' portion (the size of the windows partition attempted), but when I try to remove / apply it's saying 'operation failed'.......& it's created a phantom quest user upon restart??

Can anyone give any sort of advice......I have no idea what to do next? :(

OMG that's amazing, it worked! - Thank you so much, this has been amazing....how can I compensate you for your time?

I will now try to install windows again, & will turn off time machine following a apple support suggestion on this, as well as checking my start-up security settings.

I'm sorry, you've lost me a bit there........(not a computer brain!),

Do you mean delete the text in the terminal window, that I posted last, deleting the time machine referenced lines, but leaving the last note.....like attached?

Or copy the last note into the latest terminal run / syntax text you've mentioned......do I insert the text into it?

Ahhh ok thank you,

I understand I think.

So I copy/paste into the delete snapshot terminal box, adding XID value in for each mentioned TimeMachine, one by one......EXCEPT the one where XID is noted as APFS Container Disc?

Ok great, thank you!

It's not showing any snap shots now (which is good).....but including the disk container size etc, but I'm assuming that's because I've turned time machine off......so I'm ready to go!

It's taken the space again......should I try & restart in windows mode, just in-case it's actually there?

I've got the windows download files on a USB stick......I read that in the past this was an issue, but it was fixed, but maybe it's not?

If all else fails I'll use Parallels, but it can just be a bit unstable with the internet.

Ok cool, I will keep trying!

unfortunately I can’t upgrade from high Sierra, as my CAD programs are not so stable on newer platforms, so annoying!

How can I compensate you for your time, it’s been amazing!

Ahhhh ok, good to know thank you!

I just tried a few more times, but with the same result.

I thought though, that I would just see, so re-started in windows mode & it did open, but I got as far as this point.....I guess to be expected?....I didn't go any further!
