How do I make room for Big Sur on my Mac Air?
Did you empty your trash can? If you already did, then try emptying Safari Caches. To do so, enable the develop menu and select empty caches. If that doesn’t work, then try removing old apps and files. And make sure photos is stored in iCloud.
Delete caches. Go to finder, then press shift command g. Afterwards, type in ~/Library/Caches. Select all and delete it.
