In iOS 14.4 on iPad, what is the default time it will keep emails in the trash folder?

My iPad settings don’t look like the directions on 284 of the user guide on “Decide how long to keep deleted emails”. I can’t get to a place where the time can be set. Now, I’d at least like to know what the default setting is.

When you do delete mail on Gmail it goes into the Trash folder and is deleted after 30 days if you do nothing. It would be helpful to know what the Apple delete timing is for Trash in the Mail app and if Gmail overrides that.

Consider the Google (and Google Mail) business model...

Google don’t actually want you to delete data at all. Both you and you data are the “product.; your activity data, behaviours (and email) are actively collated and “mined” for marketable data. You give-up your data in exchange for access to apparently “free” services.
