My friend gave me an old ipad and I want to restore it to factory settings. How do I do this?

I was able to get the iPad restored by turning it off while unplugged from PC and then holding the home button, plugging into PC

Thanks but I don’t have the passcode nor does she recall it. So I just want to reset it to factory setting. How do I do that?
