Which mac is best for me? Macbook Air or Macbook Pro?

Hello! This is my first time purchasing an apple laptop and I would really appreciate some guidance. I can’t decide which option would be best in my situation. I am a part time student with a couple classes and I plan on using my laptop for almost everything, especially for my Medical Billing & Coding job in the future. I’ve done my fair work of research but still can’t figure out which macbook would benefit me more. I’m planning on buying extra storage and stuff, regardless of what mac I end up getting. I would really appreciate what you guys think would be the best fit for me, I don’t know where else to turn for guidance, please help!!!

Hi er_vi1,

I would recommend MacBook Pro, especially for your Medical Billing & Coding job in the future. Also with the Pro, you get extra battery life.

Here is the configuration I would recommend:

Apple MacBook Pro, 13" (M1)
16GB Unified Memory
At least 512GB SSD storage.

First, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the current options - all are great machines.

When I was looking, I contacted Apple Support and they were very helpful. If you go to apple.com, then go to the Mac section, then Compare Mac Models. At the top of the screen, you'll see an option "Get Help Choosing. Contact Us". That will open chat session with an Apple rep - definitely worth the time to do that.
