Does Swap Memory SSD Disk Waste is covered by Apple Care +?

Hi

Recently I’ve purchased a MBP 13” M1 256gb and 8gb RAM. Because i teach architectural software im noticing that the amount of swap memory goes up to 2.5/3 gb.

I’m aware that this swapping of memory could brick the computer (all over the internet you’ll find this information).

i have two questions here:

  1. is this a truth? Should i be worried about it? - has apple said something about this?
  2. the apple care plus would cover this type of failures if my SSD and computer (since it’s soldered) dies?

thanks in advance.

please use legit resources of information.

Say what ?

I would not be concerned here—this is what VM is for

Many operations require sharing data between the CPU and GPU some memory transfer can be the bottleneck. In contrast, the Apple M1 chip has unified memory, allowing the GPU and CPU to share memory without penalty.”

I would advise you to let the Mac work for you and don't try to micro-manage your "swap memory ."

In the APFS all Volumes share memory with the Container as needed.

You can see a bigger picture from Terminal, copy & paste:

diskutil list internal

This is not an issue.
