Random person using my email for family share

When I tap family share it says my email is being used for some other family’s family share. Their payment method is saved and I cannot delete it. I changed the password to my Apple ID and to the email. How do I fix this?

Ok, so it appears that someone knows your email address. That, in itself, is not unusual, but it is sort of random that they would want to invite someone they don't know to join their family plan.

Apple does provide a means to be removed from a Family Plan, but I'm not sure that the following article covers this particular case. (Note that I'm assuming that you don't share your Apple ID with anyone or that it has not been compromised.)

Ref: Leave Family Sharing - Apple Support

What I suggest that you do before this is resolved are:

  1. Immediately change your Apple ID password.
  2. Contact Apple Support directly for assistance. You can get to them by using the "Get Support" link in the upper right-hand side of this forum's web page.

The thing is I’m not part of the plan. When I go to family share it gives me a notification saying I need to ask whoever it is to invite me. So I can’t leave it but it doesn’t let me do anything else with family share. As far as I know they’re just using my email for something as part of their family share. I already changed the password for my Apple ID and for the email.
