Why do I have a green dot at top of screen?

Why do I have a green dot at top of screen when I open up

my camera?

I’ve read it’s because an app is using your camera. But I’ve denied all apps access to my camera and it’s still there. Anyone know why this is? And how do I stop it? It’s creeping me out!

thanks

If you open up your camera, then the camera is in use, thus it will display the green dot.
