Can I trade in my iPhone if the back glass is broken?

I have a iPhone XR but the back glass is broken. Would I be able to trade it in still to try and upgrade my phone?

Would I be able to trade in an iPhone 8 plus with a cracked back glass? I was thinking of upgrading into a newer phone, and the same day I did some research on the phone I wanted, I dropped my phone from the bed while sleeping and it cracked slightly. I have been wondering ever since it happened if I could still go to apple and do a trade in for a lower value, or if apple will just deny my trade in.

You would not.

Get the iPhone repaired. Then trade it if you wish.

Rear glass can not be repaired and the device must be replaced.
