I seem to have user + password problem when I try accessing Mac files from Windows 10 computer. When the pop window shows up to ask for user name and password. I type in everything the same as how I log on to my Mac with the same user name and password. However, it never can connect to Mac
I also try different combinations of user name and password that I used to use and have been using. None of them works.

I thought that as long as the File Sharing box is checked then it would work. I didn't know one more box under Options needs to be checked.
Thus, I saw my user name under Options, so I checked it. The Windows can connect to my Mac. BUT.......
BUT.. I still have permission issue once I clicked on Mac's folder, for example Desktop.
Do you have File Sharing Enable on the Mac >>System Preferences >> Sharing ?
Oh, I got it now! I just saw the shared folder is actually PUBLIC. Thus, I added Users folder. Yeah!!!!
The Windows can access Pictures and Public, but just NOT Desktop, Documents, Downloads, and Movies. Strangely, they are ALL under the same user name though.
I added Users folder, still permission problem. Then, I added each folder for Desktop, Document, etc. STILL NOT WORKING YET
