Mouse / Touchpad hover stop working

Hello,

I have a weird problem that sometimes (multiple times a day) the hover state of my cursor stopt working. Currently I'm using a wireless and wired Razer mouse. When the problem occur i have to disconnect and connect my mouse again. The touchpad also does not show any hover effects anymore when it happens.

Device: Macbook Pro m1

Is this some known problem?

Try a different Mouse to test— sounds like a hardware issue with the mouse.

Have you searched for any updated driver for your " wired Razer mouse" (?) to eliminate software.

Is this an old problem, new problem, what changed?

To trouble shoot further you can:

—Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5-15 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, etc.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test as caches get rebuilt.

In Safe mode third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled, it removes malware, etc hampering smooth operation, however a reboot will put it back to normal mode.
