Apple Watch Intl Womens Day Medal

Hi, on Sun 3/7 I logged an outdoor walk using the app on the watch, got exercise credit for 25 mins, (closed my exercise ring) and I did not receive the Intl Women's Day Medal. Why not? I have already turned off bluetooth, turned off the phone, turned off the watch and turned everything back on, but it did not work. I am bummed. Any ideas? I appreciate any assistance.
