My new iPhone XR says SIM NOT VALID
During the setting up of my new iPhone XR it wants a sim, whenever I insert a sim it says invalid sim, while the sim is active as well as valid when I am using it on another iPhone, I tried multiple sims but I receive the same message.
Is this a used iPhone? If so, it may locked to a particular carrier that is not the one for the sims you've tried or the sim slot may be damaged.
If its bran new, take it back to Apple. It may have an issue.
Then it's possible the sim slot has an issue. Take it to Apple for diagnostics and repair. If you have tried SIM cards from different carriers and non work, then that's a very distinct possibility.
Also, make sure you are inserting the SIM card the correct way in the Sim Tray.
Follow the steps in the support document you posted from.
If none of the steps work, then contact your Carrier / service provider for a new SIM card.

Where, exactly, did you buy the phone? What carrier are you attempting to use?
Is that the entire error message, SIM NOT VALID, or is there more to it?
