"Your previous iTunes intallation must be removed before continuing." WHY? I don't want to update.

Hi. I use iTunes 12.4.3 and don't want to update to a new version of iTunes.

I did want to install another version onto a different drive, so I could update my ipod.

However, the microsoft store decided to isntall it automatically dwithout asking where.

So I decided, forget all this, I completely uninstalled iTunes, and reinstalled 12.4.3.

But now, I can't start iTunes without it giving me a message that I need to remove my current iTunes. I don't want to remove my Itunes.

Windows doesn't support the installation of multiple different versions of iTunes in different locations, hence the message that you have to remove the old version before installing a new one. If needs be you can temporarily install a current version of iTunes to perform some task, then remove it, reinstall your old version. Newer versions of iTunes may make changes to the iTunes database that mean it cannot be read by the older version, but you can restore the pre-upgrade version of the database from the Previous iTunes Libraries folder if required.
