Library > Log folder appearing in User > Documents

Hi,

This week I have noticed that I have a new folder created in my User>Documents folder called Library. This in turn has a folder in that called Log. There are no files in these folders and they just sit empty with the created and modified date as the date and time of booting the Mac since they first appeared.

I deleted the folder and rebooted and upon launch the Mac just re-creates them.

Does anyone else have this and/or know why they are there? I don't think it came with an update.

I have one of the new Mac Book Pros with the M1 chip running latest version of Mac OS Big Sur.
