CarPlay only works with ONE aux cord...why???

Apply car play only works with ONE aux cord. AND...that aux cord is getting frayed. I have tried several other aux cords and none of them will work. Only the old one works. Help!!

CarPlay does not work with aux cables at all.


This is an AUX cable:


It works either wirelessly or via USB connection. Nothing else.


Connecting your phone to your car's media center via a 3.5mm aux cable is not CarPlay.


Please explain exactly what type of cable you are using to connect to your Car. And if its one that is built in to the car or not.
