Why can't I delete apps anymore in iOS 14?

Who at Apple thought it would be a good idea to keep an app in the "App Library" instead of permanently deleting it? I'm speechless! Is there a work-around for this hot mess?

App Library does not remove the ability to Delete apps

you can delete from the App Library by locating the app and tap/hold, select Delete App

or you can go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > [app name] > Delete

If you still are unable to delete, check:

Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps

make sure that's set to 'Allow'
