Automatic Reloading of Safari Tab

When I use certain websites, it pops up that the site is using significant memory and says I should refresh the window. I don't want it to, but then it automatically does and I lose all the work and the spot in the video where I was at before it refreshed. I was wondering how to stop it from automatically refreshing like that.
