I thought that there was an easy way to screen share what I am doing on my iPad Air 4 to my M1 MacBook Pro, but when I hit screen share on the iPad I am not getting the MacBook as an option. Am I misinformed? Is this not possible without an app add-on like reflector, or should it just work natively and I'm doing something wrong? Thanks!

iPad cannot natively screen-share to another iOS/iPadOS device - or to Mac/PC. To do so, you will need to use a third-party application such as Reflector 3.

Mac and iPad do not, as yet, share the same CPU. Whether or not this will change at some point is the future is currently a matter of conjecture.
Whilst iPad can be used to extend a Mac desktop (and act as a graphics tablet for Mac) using Apple’s Sidecar feature - the reverse is not true.
That's what I was afraid of. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. One would think this is something Apple would sort out natively, especially since they're using the same processor now. Oh well.......Thanks again! :)
