I have separate video and audio files. I detached and deleted the audio from my GoPro, and imported MP3 audio from my audio recorder. When I create a new Compound Clip, I loose some of my video along the timeline. It changes to a white background. These 2 images demonstrate the situation.

How long is the video clip? I presume it is longer than the 7-ish minutes, right? Does it show white all the way to the end?
Normally, one would NOT use a compound clip, but would just select the video and audio clip in the Browser, and choose Synchronize Clips. A synchronized clip can be thought of as a sort of compound clip, but it is made precisely for this situation.
You don't need to detach audio. By default when you synchronize clips the audio part of the video clip is muted.

Select the synchronized clip and use Clip>Open Clip. See what happens at nine minutes. You can always switch off the camera audio manually in audio configurations. The whole thing is just under 25 minutes? MP3 is not a good recording format. There may also be a audio sample rate problems. What are the audio sample rates of the two clips?
Please select the synchronized clip in the browser, and do Clip->Open Clip, then post a screenshot of the timeline.
I see that all the clips have audio turned on.
Try turning the volume down on all the three video clips.
Also, if I Undo Compound Clip, I get all of my video back.
What is set as the player background in Playback FCP preferences?
Not sure what I'm looking at in the screenshots. Part 1 AW Certification is the compound clip?
You weren't able to use the sync clip function?
I've tried both compound clip and synchronized clip. Compound clip creates the problem mentioned herein. Synchronized clip works with the separate audio file for about 9 minutes, then falls apart seeming to revert back to the original audio.
