Canon Pro9000 Mark II Doesn't Work After Installing Big Sur
It looks like there are no updated printer drivers for the Canon Pro9000 Mark II and my printer no longer works with Big Sur.

Hi kbermender,
We see you are unable to use your Canon printer with your Mac running macOS Big Sur.
Taking a look over Canon's site, it would appear the printer is no longer supported for Big Sur and as such is not compatible.
The latest version of macOS supported by the printer would be version 10.13, High Sierra. We'd recommend reaching out to Canon for potential options.
Cheers!
This works fine for me connecting directly to the printer via USB. I'm running MacOS 11.3. The printer driver for the Pro9000 Mk II shows up as v. 16.10.0.0. The Canon InkJet Printer Utility also runs successfully.
Yes, mine wasn't working and then I woke it up, restarted my Mac and now it has found it. It is connected via USB as well.
The PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II is just an inkjet printer. The CanoScan 9000F Mark II is a scanner that VueScan supports without Canon drivers. There is no AirPrint support for the Pro9000 Mark II, and without Canon stepping up with driver support, this device is an unfortunate paperweight on Catalina and Big Sur.
Give VueScan a try. It supports my even older Canoscan 8600F scanner. It has a demo version you can try to see if you like it before purchasing. Just make sure the scanner is turned on before launching VueScan .
The Canon Pro 9000 is a 13” X 19” photo printer with no scanning capability.
Got this topic confused with another regarding scanning. 🤭
Oh, I know that feeling.
Same here. Very disappointing.
