my macbook pro keeps giving me a startup memory full message

My macbook pro keeps giving me a startup memory full message. I ran disk utility and it says everything is fine, yet, "other" has taken up the majority of my memory. I don't even know what other is. What can I do?

Hi Sikider1,

You might want to look at the "Activity monitor" to find out which apps are using all the energy:

https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/activity-monitor/welcome/mac

Some third-party (non-Apple) apps (like Chrome + unnecessary virus-checkers etc) can sometimes consume a large amount.

Apple has a support article with lots of useful info.

How to free up storage space on your Mac:

Hope this helps.
