Numbers Functions - Filter

Numbers on iPadOS (and in general) would be much enhanced with a filter function. That is, a function that when used in a formula returns an array of cells that meet some criteria. This can then be used as input to an outer function in the formula for further processing like max, min, and other searches etc.


I have Numbers spreadsheets that accumulate after accumulating for some time the performance of the spreadsheet deteriorates significantly. Notwithstanding maybe tweaking the existing formulas for performance. I think an efficient, built in filter function would probably solve the problem in one stroke.


The standard approach of filtering the tables directly is not an option for this.
