Configuring Comcast email on IOS 14.4.1
After Comcast/Xfinity announced they were ending support for their XfinityConnect app, I tried to add Comcast to my iPhone XR mail reader. Every time I tried by adding a new account, and then by deleting and adding again, I ended up with a POP account that wasn't synching with my Macs nor iPad. IMAP seemed not to be a choice when adding a new account if I used my Comcast email. Even changing the mail server to imap.comcast.net did not help. I finally got around this by adding a new account with a fake domain (xx@text.com), which would not automatically take me to the POP account. I then was able to chose IMAP and edit text.com to the comcast.net account. That worked, but there must be an easier way to do it.
