I pad iPhone settings want password

on my devices , lately, I am asked to enter my password , and I did once but the pop up still comes on.

The settings icon shows , when I select it, that I must enter my password as some of my accounts need it.

My main question is, can I be sure this is a legitimate request, as it does show up on settings selection.
