My Apple TV remote connects the fist time I touch the touch pad. The next time I select any button or touch pat I get a message saying the rmote is disconnected. Any suggestions?

I ended up having to update the Apple TV software manually which fixed the issue. My remote was charged at 20%, so I charged it to 100%.

Perhaps it needs recharging?

Connect the USB cable and charge - this might fix the issue - once recharged, good idea to reboot the AppleTV as well.
