Chase mobile banking app not working only on one phone

Hello all,

I have an issue with the chase mobile banking application specifically isolated to my iphone.

When trying to login I get: "we're temporarily unable to connect to chase. please try again later. thanks for your patience."

At the same time, I can login on my ipad fine. mobile browser works fine. laptop login works fine.

It is like the chase application is corrupt on my phone.

deleting it and reinstalling it does not work. restarting does not work. Software update from apple does not change it. Chase app update does not change it.

If I erase all content from my phone and skip backup entirely, I can setup my phone like new, and get the application to work.

If I restore my data after from icloud, the issue returns. I am stuck between choosing to use online banking or keeping my data because there seems to be no way to fully delete this application from my phone's current software install.

Chase's response is that because its isolated to strictly my phone, it is an Apple issue. Apple's only advice so far is to completely erase my phone and start over.

Is there some kind of developer menu that would allow the full deletion of the chase app from my phone?

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14

Thank you, this solved my issue. In fact I only reseted the network settings with all my other information kept as it was. So I would go further and suggest that just resetting your net work setting might be enough (you don't have to uninstall the app first or change your password). Although this is late to the original question, I hope it helps any other person encountering this later.

Unfortunately, something has been corrupted and has worked its way into your backup.

Have you tried Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings?

That will not erase your data. It will reset any customizations to the defaults. You'll have to re-join wifi networks, re-pair bluetooth, etc.

It's worth a shot.

Apple has not been helpful at all.

We have identified specifically that the issue is my phone. The only "repair" they offered/recommended me was to fully erase my phone if I want access to the chase app, which leaves me with losing all my other data. No alternative.

Chase said they cannot help as its an issue isolated to only my phone, and they consider that an apple problem.

You may have misunderstood the nuance of my explanation.

"Chase said they cannot help as its an issue isolated to only my phone,"

I understand this is not physically anything with the device, but a fault with the iOS software storing a portion of Chase's app, that it does not fully delete.

In this context, it only applies to "my phone", because they cannot replicate this issue on other devices.
