Examplify ruined my laptop settings

Hello Everyone

After I uploaded my exam on examsoft, my laptop got messed.

1) all the icons on my desktop disappeared (except for the dock)

2) i can’t swipe up with 3 fingers (so now i can’t combine 2 windows side-to-side)

3) i can’t right click on my screen

4) right after the exam was finished, the examplify wallpaper was stuck even after i restarted AND shut-down my laptop. I had to change it through the settings.

anyone has a fix for this?

and why apple doesn't warn about this application? apparently many people suffer from similar issue because of examsoft

Hey there basel293,

We understand you are experiencing multiple issues after using a third-party exam application. We'll be happy to help.

It's hard to say exactly what caused this app to cause issues, but let's test to see if the issue persists in a new user account. This will let us know if the issue is system-wide or isolated to one account. Create the user by referencing the steps here: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

Also, you could attempt to remove the exam software from your Mac to see if that will alleviate the issue.

However, if this persists and you still need to use the software, it would be best to reach out to the developer directly. You can find contact information for many developers with the steps here: How to contact an app developer

Cheers!
