How do I remove Adobe Creative Cloud from start up.

Seems at every boot up it appears on the top right corner of the screen. I can delete it but it keeps appearing on every boot up.

I am sure if I log in and go to settings there is a away from stopping it from popping up on every set up but I don't even have and adobe account to log into.

I don't see why I should create an account only to stop adobe creative cloud from popping up.

CleanMyMac was absolutely the worst possible way to stop the Creative Cloud app from loading at startup. Why? Because by removing it, you've now broken any ability for the CC apps to be updated.

Never, ever install such junk as CleanMyMac. EVER!

The correct way:

  1. Login to your CC account and reinstall Creative Cloud so you can manage and update your installed CC apps.
  2. Open Creative Cloud and open its preferences.
  3. It automatically opens to the General tab. Turn the option to launch at startup off.

Click Done and close Creative Cloud. That's it.

Tried uninstalling it and said unable to uninstall because I have applications that are using it.

Does not tell you which applications that is and I do not have a login in for t=adobe creative cloud to even find out.

I looked in my applications and have nothing from adobe.

I hope you didn't install CleanMyMac as suggested in that article as CMM can do lots of hard to a system and apps. It's one of the apps that most of the experienced users in these forums consider akin to malware. I recommend you uninstall it according to the developer's instructions.

If you ever have to remove files that are listed as running and won't let you delete them boot into Safe Mode by booting with the Shift key held down and delete them from there.  Then reboot normally.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically ⬅︎ ⬅︎ ⬅︎ ⬅︎

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

Like I said in the original post I DO NOT HAVE a CC account to login to.

I don't even have adobe apps installed.

I did installed CleanMyMac as poster suggested and that did work in removing the

Creative Cloud since uninstalled did not work.

I guess I will uninstall CleanMyMac now.

No problem, and yeah no clue how the CC app got in there either but I first noticed it after switching to Big Sur.

Tried everything to remove it but the only thing that worked was the sledge hammer approach. I did delete CleanMyMac after that since it does appear to be not a good thing to have but it did work in removing CC and keeping it removed.
