Can I Swap My Current SSD In My MacBook Pro To Another Macbook Pro?

Some background:

I have a 13IN MID 2012 MBP with a i5 processor. Everything is maxed out on it and its a really good laptop but I just found out theres another Edition of this computer with a i7 processor. So I wanna upgrade to this i7 version of MBP. They’re both in the same category (macbookpro9,2 | A1278 (EMC 2554*).

What I want to do:

I want to swap out my SSD in my current i5 MBP and put it into the new i7 MBP.

My questions:

IS this possible (they’re both the same model just different processors)
Will they be any errors in the software?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

You can swap the drive between these laptops without any problems.
