Apple messages genuine?

Hi guys. First, my iPhone has been stolen last week from the Netherlands. I reported the iPhone as lost and typed a message for the guy who stole my phone. So when he powers the phone he would see my message and phonenumber to reach out to. On the next day I saw the phone in Belgium, Brussels. It was connected a few minutes and then disconnected. The next day I receive a Whatsapp message from ‘Enrique’ with a picture of the stolen phone (Spanish phonenumber). At the same time I receive messages from ‘Apple’ saying my phone has been found and that my AppleId has been deactivated. My emailaddress in this message is not correctly spelled.

  1. Could this Enrique be genuine or is this a known scam attempt?
  2. Are the Apple messages genuine or is it a part of the scam?

Please help me,

kind regards

Dennis

Scam messages. Apple does not get involved with lost or stolen phones.
