Unsilence Iphone X
I've done everything to get my phone to ring, followed all the directions and thought I had solved the problem.
The phone still will not ring.

Without knowing exactly what you've already tried, the following may or may not help:
Some things to check:

Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207099
Do Not Disturb: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204321
If none of the above, also try restarting: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201559
