itunes on new pc

Hi

I have a new pc, with a 128gb SSD and a 1tb HHD. My music file on the old PC is 75gb.

Not enough room to put on "C" drive on SSD.

itunes will only load to programs/my music/tunes. Once load, I can go to edit/preferences and change source location to a new file on my "D" drive HHD I've called my music. It dumps some files there but not the "media" folder so know where to put my data. If I do, itunes doesn't see it and always reverts back to original source on "C" drive.

Any thought appreciated.

PS - I have an SD card with my old "consolidated" files but cant put them on SSD - no room!

Thanks

Windows, Windows 6

See Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community. If you have the full iTunes library on the D: drive you should be able to shift-start-iTunes to connect to the iTunes Library.itl database. Changing the media folder isn't the way to go.
