What does no current CVE updates mean?

I’m not entirely sure of your intended question... however I’ll make a guess as to what you are perhaps attempting to ask.

In Apple’s listing of security updates, you sometimes see the statement “This update has no published CVE entries”. CVE is an acronym for Common Vulnerabilities & Exposure.

CVE is a list a security vulnerability records - to which a vulnerability score is assigned according to the severity of the assessed vulnerability. When a vulnerability is identified (very often by security researchers), the vulnerability is given a unique reference number, plus its vulnerability score - and is added to the published list.

Under responsible disclosure agreements, publication can be delayed whilst the vulnerability is fixed or mitigation is identified.

So, how does this relate to your question? Very simple...

The “update” does not relate to any of the catalogued CVE Vulnerabilities.
