Welcome jolanta88,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities, we're happy to have you with us. Based on your post, you've had issues using your Lightning to HDMI Adapter after a recent update to your iPhone 11 Pro. We'll do our best to assist with this.

Given the issue, we'd recommend checking the following steps:

  1. The adapter is Apple branded by going to Settings > General > About. Connect the adapter and disconnect anything else connected to your iPhone. Check if you can see the blue background around the time (upper-left corner) when on the lock screen, or a blue adapter icon at the upper-right of the display (when the device is unlocked). Does 'Apple Digital AV Adapter' show up under the 'Legal' in Settings > General > About, or below the EID information?
  2. If it doesn't appear in the above, connect a powered Lightning cable to the adapter. Any changes?
  3. Does this happen when the adapter is connected to other devices, too? Note what happens when you test other devices.

If it happens to both devices, then it might be hardware related, the adapter may need to be replaced.

If the adapter shows up, but you still can use the adapter, then you'd want to Contact Apple Support

Hoping this gets you moving in the right direction, take care!
