Your Xcode version may be too old for your iOS version

Hi there!

We're trying to build an application to an iOS device, specifically an iPhone X running iOS 14.

But my Xcode keeps telling me "Your Xcode version may be too old for your iOS version."

What should I do? Is it possible to just downgrade the iOS device to match the requirements of Xcode? Thanks!

iPhone X

Update to the latest version of Xcode. A device running iOS 14 requires Xcode 12 to build and run for the device. Specifically, the iOS version on the device must not be newer than the iOS SDK that comes with Xcode. The latest version of Xcode on the Mac App Store is Xcode 12.4, which comes with the iOS 14.4 SDK.
