AppleID

An older MacBook has iTunes that does not recognize the current AppleID. When the correct password is entered, iTunes responds with an older AppleID needing a password we no longer have or use.

If you're trying to play protected media that was purchased with an old Apple ID then you need to provide the password for that ID to authorize the computer to play it. See If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support. Alternatively you may need to sign out of the iTunes Store (Account > Sign Out) before trying to sign in with a different ID.
