If timezones are causing this level of stress, maybe stop back here again tomorrow to continue this?

What is the “everything” that you’ve already tried? Please be specific.

Any add-on security apps, add-on network-firewall apps, any add-on VPN clients, add-on cleaner apps, or the like?

Which time servers are you using, if not the Apple servers?

Which timezone are you using? The full name you’re using, please?

And to confirm, manually setting the timezone succeeds?

What are the symptoms?

Setting the time manually also somehow fails?

I’m seeing a few sntp timekeeping issues reported with Big Sur, skews of a handful of seconds. (Though whether that’s Big Sur or something else running on the Mac, or something in the network path?)
