Apple Classroom Update

Apple Classroom keeps displaying an update. When I update it, the message remains there saying that it is still pending an update. Why won't it update?

Why isn’t my iPad 2 not updating for my son to do his virtual learning on? I have an iPad 2 64gb for my son’s virtual learning. It says I can only update to a 10.3. I can download his classroom app but it keeps popping up update to newer version!

Classroom now requires macOS 11.0 Big Sur or later.
