Why when I delete a message the time stamp remains?

Nothing remains

Delete a message or conversation

When you delete a message or conversation, you can't get it back. So make sure that you save important information from your messages.

I am not worried about the info if I delete it there’s a reason. My concern is that if I delete a new message that I received or sent that 1 message the time stamp will remain from when that message was sent but does move down the list.
