Unwanted emoji mysteriously appears on sender’s text.

  1. Large emoji on top of sender’s text. I questioned my worker’s text to me which had a skull with sleep “z’s”. He claims he didn’t add the emoji, but that it came “from your number”. Is that possible? During the day, the emoji continued on his text, but it moved from one previously sent text to another in the same previously sent string.
  2. Is it possible to put an emoji on someone else’s text?
  3. is the predictive feature causing things like this to go haywire?
  4. is there some kind of virus or hack which is causing unwanted emojis to appear on texts?
  5. has there ever been or is there now some feature which places large see-through emojis on top or as background on individual texts?

4 apple customer care representatives (including 2 senior supervisors) looked at the text in question and contended it was a “glitch”.

Any emoji in response to a text should be to the right of the text: not obscuring on the text, not changing a text sent by someone else. None had seen such a thing before and the complaint file is being kept open in case it happens again.
