I bought movies and tv shows years ago with another email address that I have no access now. It was linked to EarthLink.net I changed my account email to my current email when I lost old account. I don’t have those purchases on any current devices and they don’t show up in my account. How do I recover the?

If you have only changed your Apple ID email address they should still be available to your account.

If you set up a brand new Apple ID as part of changing email providers then you made a mistake in doing so. Your purchases remain permanently tied to an account and you will need to use Family Sharing with your old account to be able to re-download material purchased with it.

They don't even show up with that as an option. They are from 2009 and are not even searchable in the store. They are from the UK, but that was not a problem when I bought them. I was thinking of using a VPN to set my location as London to see ifv ty hat would help.
I did not change accounts and can find the items in my purchase history. They are not 'hidden" - they just do not show up in the store, on my iPad nor iTunes.
Did you try redownloading?
If you have changed your Apple ID country then items purchased in another country's store may not be available for re-download.
I have not done that either. I was just thinking of logging into to my account from what appears to the UK.
