AirPods Pro with MacOS Big Sur

I'm using a MacBook Air M1 with my AirPods Pro and the audio quality is always really bad when the microphone input is set to the AirPods Pro, is there a way to set the default input to the macbook's mic without manually having to switch it every time I connect my AirPods?

Can't user external mic input and AirPods output at the same time. I have a MacBook Air M1 and GarageBand 10.4.8. When I use an external mic plugged into the 1/8" jack, no audio output goes go my AirPods. I select the right things in GB Input and Output Settings, but the output doesn't reach my AirPods. If I unplug the mic, it works. Is their any fix/setting/workaround for this?

Airpods Pro mic not working on Mac Whenever I use my Airpods Pro on my Macbook Air, the mic always sounds robotic. It's super annoying and frustrating. I have already tried restarting my Mac and "forgetting device" on my mac and reconnecting. Both did not work. Anyone have a solution?

Airpods Pro automatically connecting mid-call without change of input Particularly a problem on Mac OS. I'll be on a video call on Teams or Zoom and without touching the Airpods Pro or any other device, the computer will switch the mic and/or speakers to the Airpods, while they're in the case untouched!

Unfortunately, there isn’t a workaround. You can’t isolate the AirPods Pro mic and utilize the MacBook’s built-in mic.
