iPhone 12 and Versa 2 Connectivity

I just got my iPhone 12 and after successfully syncing it with my Versa 2 I closed the Fitbit app as I had done with my previous phone to optimally use the battery. However whenever the app is closed on iPhone the Versa 2 loses connection to the phone. Is there anyway to keep the app closed and stay connected to the phone? I didn't have this issue on my Galaxy S10.

Have you contacted Fitbit support team or their community, explaining your problem?

Fitbit app for Android might differ from the one for iOS (or it might be a matter of app update). That's why I suggested you to contact Fitbit Support team.

I have not since the issue did not exist while using my Versa 2 with my Galaxy S10. The change being the device it was more than likely there the issue existed.
