iPhone 12 and Versa 2 Connectivity

I just got my iPhone 12 and after successfully syncing it with my Versa 2 I closed the Fitbit app as I had done with my previous phone to optimally use the battery. However whenever the app is closed on iPhone the Versa 2 loses connection to the phone. Is there anyway to keep the app closed and stay connected to the phone? I didn't have this issue on my Galaxy S10.

Fitbit app for Android might differ from the one for iOS (or it might be a matter of app update). That's why I suggested you to contact Fitbit Support team.
