Just installed Big Sur 11.2.3 and my the Dictation no longer works. When I hit the Fn key, the Dictation icon comes up and acts likes hearing the sound (level moves up and down), but doesn't write anything. When I check the audio input under the System Preferences Sound the microphone is working.
Any thoughts?

Reset the Core Audio:
With a new install, things probably need to re-sync. So, restart the Mac. Once restarted, if that does not work, then, reset the Core Audio. It's worth a go.
To Reset the Core Audio:
Type the following command in Terminal:
sudo killall coreaudiod

You are welcome. Learn from this, knowing to always restart after an update, or any software installation. That way things can sync to how they should be.
Is your internet access working? I believe it has an online voice recognition library it needs to use to manage dictation.
